Giulia Y Los Tellarini

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Heading up the festivities on Friday 11th June are the inspirational Giulia Y Los Telarini.  A collection of incredibly talented folk musicians, Giulia Y Los Tellarini weave a rich tapestry upon the musical landscape with their unique brand of sound that seamlessly mixes Mediterranean warmth with Mexican tragedy and Latin flava.

The band (Giulia Tellarini, Maik Alemany, Jens Neumaier and Alejandro Mazzoni) originate from Barcelona, Spain and have a great loyal following – including Woody Allen who used their work on the sound track of his film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” after being impressed by their unequalled sound.  Entering into a joint initiative with the studio where they first met, MaikMaier studio and the Sones cooperative, they have launched their own record label – La Colazione, allowing them creative freedom.  Having toured prolifically over recent years throughout Europe and beyond, the band have shaped themselves into one of the finest examples of world music influences around.

Ross Kemp and Jeff Barker (FLH Showcase)

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Well known and respected for their love of all things 4/4, the ability to rock a crowd and slide in the perfect track just when you need it the most, Ross Kemp and Jeff Barker are the masterminds behind FLH (For the Love of House) – Rochester’s longest running underground House and Techno brand, which celebrates its 3rd birthday in March 2010.

With over 30 years DJ experience between them, the lads are constantly evolving and crafting their own individual sound whilst providing a truly unique dance floor experience as a double act – borne from an infectious love of House Music that is evident throughout their energetic House/Techno/Everything in between sets. Their 12 hour, 3 arena Bank Holiday Sunday events have now become a legendary ‘must do’ in Medway’s clubbing calendar, with the very best local (and not so local) DJs clamoring for a chance to get in on the action.

As well as making a sizeable footprint in Kent’s clubland, the Love of House has been spread across all corners of the UK and of course their ‘home from home’, Ibiza. You can also catch Jeff and Ross hosting the FLH Radio Show every Thursday at 8PM (GMT) on www.housenationuk.com, Britain’s fastest growing underground internet radio station, or the first Saturday of every month at Enigma in Rochester, Kent.

Look out for FLH’s debut EP, forthcoming for 2010.

DeepMilo (FLH Showcase)

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

A new name on the block but certainly no amateur.  DeepMilo has been playing for a short amount of time compared to his peers, but already has caused quite a stir in the UK Dance community; both on the dance floor and with other DJs, Producers and Promoters.  Already gracing the decks at some of London’s most respectable clubs, such as Pacha and Ministry Of Sound, and playing for some of the UK’s best up and coming clubbing brands, like Smartie Partie, Headroc and FLH, DeepMilo can and will always a deliver a set that is both original and executed with artistic precision.

DeepMilo is not just a deck technician but spends a lot of time in the studio remixing tracks for the Daddy Funk Records imprint and producing his own original material. With a forthcoming debut album due to hit the shelves and online stores in the very near future, keep your eye on this guy.

Passion is a key word for DeepMilo, putting 110% into every set, every track and every event he does.  With a distinctive baby face and well mannered attitude, this boy is very hard not like!
